Phillips Staffing offers a wide variety of training and life enrichment programs to help our employees develop new skills or enhance current abilities. Each program can be customized to meet our clients' needs.

Basic Ergonomics and Back Injury Prevention
Introduces participants to seven principles of ergonomics and identifies how to prevent back injuries while lifting.

Basic Interviewing Skills
Instructs participants on how to prepare for an interview, conduct themselves during the interview process, and negotiate job offers.

Building a Successful Resume
Provides the tools needed for successfully developing an attention-getting resume and cover letter.

Computer Software Training
Assists employees in learning computer software skills through interactive instruction. Employees can practice what they learn, review
skills and evaluate their progress.

Developing Powerful Presentations
Focuses on the principles of powerful and effective presentations.

Drug Abuse Awareness Program
Focuses on the importance of a drug-free workplace, the physical effects of drugs, and workplace safety issues involving drug use. The program was compiled from information developed by the U.S. Department of Labor to assist young workers in understanding the hazards of alcohol and drug use in the workplace.

Forklift Certification
Establishes standard practices for training employees in the proper use of forklift/pallet jacks. The program is in compliance with OSHA standards.

Improving Work Ethics
Focuses on methods to improve work ethic, reduce stress, and identify professional work habits.

Introduction to Banquet Serving
An introduction to the fundamentals of banquet serving. It is designed to provide total commitment to the customer, a professional image and superior service.

Job Readiness Program
Prepares individuals for entering the workforce and covers the basics for getting the job, working the job, and keeping the job.

Learning to Lead
Introduces the four key ways to be a leader.

Management Training Program
Instructs participants on the skills needed to succeed as a manager.

Overcoming Presentation Anxiety
Offers instruction on reducing the stress of preparing for and delivering presentations.

Warehouse/Distribution Training Program (Coming Soon!)
Develops the skills needed to excel in a warehouse/distribution facility.


Testing and Screening

Phillips Staffing offers several testing and screening processes used to evaluate employees. We can provide customized testing for clients upon request.


Basic Math and Verbal Skills Assessments
Measures basic math skills (i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and calculating averages), alphabetizing and spelling skills, sequential numbering skills, and skills to locate, understand, and use information in various formats.

Dexterity Tests
Measure fingertip dexterity and gross movement of hands, fingers and arms. Phillips uses the Purdue Pegboard Dexterity Test.

Drug Screening
Identifies the use of illegal drugs. Phillips uses the Rapid Drug Screen (American Bio Medical Corporation).

Forklift Operator Certification Written Test
Phillips utilizes a Forklift Certification Test produced by L&S Safety Consultants, Inc. They specialize in OSHA Compliance.

Personality Assessment
Phillips utilizes a validated behavioral assessment tool that measures how a person will best perform in a specific job.

Secretarial/Clerical Skills Testing
We can test candidates and document their skills in the following areas:

  • Error Rate
  • Speed Typing
  • Transcription
  • Total Errors
  • Elapsed Time
  • Shorthand/Speed Writing
  • Data Sets Per Hour

Software Skills Testing
We test candidates' skills on a variety of computer software packages. Tests measure a wide range of software skills, from basic skills to advanced features. We can test for proficiency in:
